Building Operations and Facilities

The goal of the IGB Operations and Facilities Office is to support the IGB Administration, research staff, support staff, students and visitors by providing timely services to assist the Institute in meeting its mission, goals and objectives. This relates to the interior and exterior physical spaces of the building, the building mechanical systems and utility infrastructure repair and maintenance, space remodeling or system modifications, and the daily operations of the Institute. The IGB Operations and Facilities Office's knowledgeable on-site staff will provide numerous services to the Institute to successfully fulfill this goal.

We will interface with other University of Illinois and Campus Offices, and outside governmental agencies to facilitate our tasks including the Office of the Vice Chancellor of Research, Division of Research Safety, Institutional Review Board, the Institute of Animal Care and Use Committee, the Division of Public Safety, Facilities & Services, CITES, and the Urbana Fire and Rescue Service unit.

Any Operations and Facilities issues, concerns, and information should be directed to:
